I attended the Great Plains Growers Conference
I attended the Great Plains Growers Conference in St. Joseph, Mo. on Jan. 8th-10th. I went to the Produce Safety Alliance’s Grower Training Course on Thursday, and had a wonderful session. This course taught me the Good Practices of growing food safe produce for our nation. Then, on to various workshops and events.
Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training
The Grower Training course (click to view course) that I attended was especially important to me. I feel the best thing I can do is provide safe and secure foods to my customers. After all, I would want others providing safe food for my kids! So, I must reciprocate in giving my customers a safe produce. I encourage all producers to attend this course.

What I think of the GPGC
After my attendance at the GPGC, I have concluded that it is a high quality and valuable conference. There is much to learn and many networking and interactions that will apply, especially to small to medium size producers and to specialty crop growers. I am glad I attended and look forward to attending every year.
